5 Common Mistakes You Might Be Making When Planning Your Eastbourne Wedding

Some tips and tricks from Eastbourne brides

1. Your Guest List
Your guest list should be one of your first port of calls when planning your wedding as you may have your heart set on a venue that only allows 100 guests and you’ve got 180. So to avoid disappointment – decide on how many guests you want.

2. Check in With Your Other Half
While you might be happy with a wedding abroad, you’re partner might just be happy with getting married in your home town with a handful of loved ones. So it’s better to you know where you guys can meet in the middle before you go full guns blazing with the 300 guests, big white wedding. Think Carrie Bradshaw and Bigs 1st attempt at a wedding.

3. First Comes Venue Then Comes Date
Don’t set a date until you have found your venue, that way it gives you some ground for decision. You don’t want to send out save the dates for April 4th next year, when you’re dream venue has a booking policy or wait list of 18 months.

4. Don’t Choose A Maximum Capacity Venue
If you have 150 guests and the venue that you’re looking at has a capacity of 150 guests – don’t book it. It will be like attending a full attendance gym class and someone is always stuck in the corner with someones foot in there face.

5. Pick Your Photographer Wisely
This is a lot easier now thanks to social media. However make sure you do your photographer research. Have a chat with them and tell them what pictures you want and what kind of aesthetic/mood you want from them. Candid pictures? Lots of family pictures? Vintage looking pictures? Make sure that they are the right fit, because you’ll want to look back on these pictures in years to come.
