This Weekend Is The Eastbourne Bonfire Society Procession

Kicking off October with a bang – literally – tomorrow (Oct 1st) is the Eastbourne Bonfire Society procession.

From what we can see on Facebook, they have been busy down at the beach setting it all up.

The event will be about 3 hours long and here are the current timings ….

7.15pm // The 1st procession will leave from the Crown and Anchor pub and will travel along  Royal Parade to the Treasure Island car park.
When they get to the Treasure Island car park, they will go back down Royal Parade to the Crown and Anchor and then they will have a break.

8.45pm // The 2nd procession will move along the seafront, past the Pier, towards Grand Parade and the Wish Tower Slope.

9.30pm // Effigy and lighting of the bonfire

9.45pm –// The Grand Fireworks Display

There, will of course be road closures, so make sure to check out the events FB page (here) to find out where those will be.
