Eastbourne Metro Bank Appeals For Donations For Disabled Kids This Christmas

Eastbourne Metro Bank is appealing for donations to help support the Children’s Respite Trust as part of its Christmas Community Campaign this winter.

The Children’s Respite Trust is a charity that improves the lives of children with profound learning and physical disabilities by helping them to get a short break throughout East Sussex and most of Kent and West Sussex. Just a little support can go a long way to helping a family to cope with the strain.

East Sussex residents and businesses can donate the items the charity needs the most at Metro Bank’s Terminus Road store: Clothes for kids aged between 2-5 year old for the the Special Educational Needs Nursery. Craft Materials – for all ages (anything that is useful for colouring, sticking, painting, glittering will always be useful, especially paper. Educational toys for children of all ages and outdoor equipment and games – including balls, bats and outdoor gear.

“As a community bank our colleagues and customers want to support t this fantastic local charity,” explains Eastbourne Metro Bank Store Manager, Kennedy Blakeley.  “We would encourage everyone to give a little this Christmas to make a difference and I want to thank everyone in advance for their generous support.”

Metro Bank’s Eastbourne store located at Unit 70/71 The Beacon, 59/61 Terminus Road, Eastbourne, BN21 3NW. The store is currently open Monday – Saturday: 8.30am – 6pm. Sunday: 11am – 5pm.  Eastbourne Metro Bank is part of the Safe Space scheme – the store is available to anyone experiencing, or at risk of domestic abuse, providing the opportunity to safely call a helpline, support service or loved one.
