Eastbourne Metro Bank Launches Winter Woolly Design Kids’ Competition

  • Free in store design craft event for kids.
  • Store sacrifices Christmas tree donating to Trussell Trust instead
  • Store opening hours announced for Christmas trading

Children visiting any Metro Bank store until December 9th can design the ultimate Winter Woolly as part of its Christmas craft event. They can submit their design to the Christmas competition and one lucky winner will have their jumper design knitted for real for every member of their immediate family – including the dog!

Children can either draw their design in store, pick up a craft pack to complete at home, or download the image from www.metrobankonline.co.uk/spreadthewarmth,” explains Metro Bank Store Manager, Kennedy Blakeley.  “Normally our craft events are just for fun and offer a free event for families, but this year we are going one step further and one lucky winner will be able to bring their design to life and see it transformed into jumpers for their family.  Normally, we decorate in store with a Christmas tree, but to help spread the warmth this winter we have saved on the cost of installing a tree and instead have made a donation to The Trussell Trust – a nationwide network of food banks.”

Entries to the competition should be posted to entrants’ Instagram stories tagging @Metro_Bank or sent via direct message to the Metro Bank Instagram page by close of business on December 9th.  The winner will be announced on December 15th.

Metro Bank’s Eastbourne store located at Unit 70/71 The Beacon, 59/61 Terminus Road, Eastbourne, BN21 3NW. The store is open Monday – Saturday: 8.30am – 6pm. Sunday: 11am – 5pm.
