Popular Tapas Restaurant In Bexhill Has Now Closed Down

Popular Tapas restaurant in Bexhill has now closed down

Tapa Tapas in Bexhill has now shut down. In a statement released by Bentleys Steakhouse regarding the Tapa Tapas closure (seen here)

“Statement from Memish Huseyin Re: closure of Tapa Tapas

There has been some speculation on social media about what has happened and I would like to take this opportunity to set the record straight, with regards to the recent closure of Tapa Tapas (4-5 Devonshire Road, Bexhill, TN40 1AB).

The business known as “Tapa Tapas” was sold to new owners in the summer of 2017. Bentley’s Steakhouse has held the lease for the premises occupied by “Tapa Tapas” since early 2017

Unfortunately, an arrears of rent has built up, to a point where it isn’t viable for the lessee to continue in this way. The owners of “Tapa Tapas” have been given many opportunities to resolve the issue, however the balance still remains unpaid.

The landlord has, therefore, decided that the best course of action is to take back possession of the premises, terminate the agreement with “Tapa Tapas” and return the premises to the control of Memish Huseyin.”

So Tapa Tapas is no more, but watch this space as something new will be taking it’s place.
