We’ve Found The Biggest Roast Potatoes and a Roast Dinner Trio In Eastbourne That You Need In Your Life

We’ve found the biggest roast potatoes in Eastbourne and a roast dinner trio that you need in your life

We’re still in full roast dinner review mode and we’ve been having great fun eating them all for you guys and reporting back. Todays review takes us to The Beachy Head pub.

First up – it was really busy, but that did not effect the service one tiny bit. The staff were really friendly and happy to chat, even with a full restaurant and the food came out so quickly. We had 3 courses and the timing of it all was really great. Top service. And even better we were sat by the window with an absolutely fantastic view.

Now onto the important part – the food. All the food. Whilst we waited for our food we had some olives, which we’ve never had whilst waiting for a roast dinner, but when in Rome. They were really yummy, so grab yourself some of those when you go. Then we shared the breaded whitebait starters, which came with a bloody mary marie rose sauce, which was so good. Then it was roast dinner time.

The roast dinners we went for were the turkey and then they have a trio roast which comes with roast beef, roast turkey and pork loin. The one we had was the small version, which was huge. We’re quite intrigued to see what the large one looks like. So if you do try it, tag us in it so we can. We also ordered a side of cauliflower cheese because it isn’t a proper roast without it.

The roast dinner as a whole was absolutely brilliant. The meat – all of the meats were cooked perfectly. Not dry in any single way shape or form and definitely left you wanting more. The roast potatoes were absolutely gigantic and you got 4 of them. It’s entirely unlike us to leave any roast potatoes, but on this occasion we were defeated. The yorkshire pudding was great as well. Cooked just right.

Both of our roasts came with lemon and thyme stuffing wrapped in bacon which was just delicious and we could have had 6 of those, but that would be ridiculous wouldn’t it. For the veg we had carrots and also parsnips, cooked to perfection and full of flavour. Could not fault this roast dinner at all.

We also love that on the menu it states that you can have as much gravy as you like. There is nothing worse that ordering a roast dinner and they give you gravy rations. It should be illegal. So well done guys.

And if you can believe it, we had room for a pudding each. We both went for an apple and rhubarb crumble with custard, which, when it came out we realised that we could have shared one. The amount of crumble you got was absolutely brilliant, but we were entirely defeated. You have to try this when you go down. The ration of fruit to crumble was really great. One of us loves the fruit part and the other loves the crumble, and we both really enjoyed it.
