The Most Beautifully Presented Roast Dinner We Have Ever Seen

The most beautifully presented roast dinner that we have ever seen

Our latest roast dinner review takes us to The Farm on Friday Street.

We arrived pretty much bang on midday and it was still nice and quiet, and got busier throughout the afternoon, so don’t forget to book in advance.

First up we started with a lovely glass of wine, which is a must on a Sunday right?

For review purposes, we opted for two different roast dinners. If it was up to us we would opt for turkey all day as long as we’re fully in Christmas mode right now. However, as good reviewers we had one roast shoulder of pork and one roast breast of vine cross turkey.

The roast dinner comes with everything your might need. We’re going to start with what we’ll call the roast dinner tower. You’ll find right at the bottom of the tower a lovely amount of roast potatoes. Then your chosen meet – pork or turkey. On top of the a carefully placed Yorkshire pudding, which was huge, we might add. At the side of the tower a pigs in blanket, and then your gravy. The rest of the the roast dinner trimmings are brought o you on a separate serving platter, where you will find extra gravy (so so important), cauliflower cheese (a roast dinner must have) your choice of vegetables, which comprised of peas, carrots.

Also you have your usual choice of sauces. We always have cranberry sauce no matter what meat we’re eating. We’re also pretty sure any food reviewing credibility that we might have had, has just been lost with that comment.

Of course we had pudding, because of research purposes, obviously. We had one sticky toffee pudding, served with honeycomb ice cream and butterscotch sauce and also a warm chocolate brownie served with ice cream and chocolate sauce. The sticky toffee pudding was delicious, but you just can’t beat a warm chocolate brownie. So unbelievably good.

Our thoughts – It was a superb Sunday roast, The presentation was fantastic. Everything was cooked just the way it should be and the meat was excellent. Cauliflower cheese is included in the main meal price, which isn’t always the case at all places. This is a plus from us. Extra gravy is the best thing ever in the whole world and being able to help yourself to the vegetables is also a bonus. Thoroughly enjoyed this Sunday roast and would recommend The Farm on Friday Street.
We can’t wait to visit again.
