Santa’s Grotto At This Weekends Meads Magic Has Been Cancelled

A little heads up for all of you heading down to Meads Magic this Friday.

Santa’s Grotto has been cancelled due to a gas leak at the parish hall.

Full details can be seen below – the statement was released on the Meads Magic FB page here.

The Meads Magic team are sorry to announce that the Parish Hall in Meads Street has had to be closed for health and safety reasons following a gas leak. This means that we have had to cancel Santa’s Grotto and the team from St John’s Church will no longer be serving hot drinks and light refreshments.

We know how disappointed everyone will be, but we are sure that you will understand that the safety of the children, their parents/carers, and others due to use the Hall on the day must be our first priority.
The good news is that the Christmas Parade bringing Santa to Meads Magic will still take place.
Santa and his elves will be arriving in Meads Street at around 4.15. Santa will deliver his Christmas message from the stage area next to Strands Hairdressers (7 Meads Street), and then mingle with the crowd before returning to the North Pole.

The Christmas market is bigger than ever this year and there is plenty of music and even a bit of dancing so there is still lots to enjoy.
