We found the best roast potatoes just outside of Eastbourne
This roast dinner is the king of roast dinners. It was huge and our eyes were definitely bigger than our bellies. We even ordered cauliflower cheese as a side, which was delicious, but not needed in the slightest. Although it it even a roast without cauliflower cheese? No is the answer to that, it is not. Anyways back to the review.
First up this was the most Instagrammable roast we have seen so far. Just look at it! It literally had everything and lots of it. Even a big in blanket, which you can’t see because it was hidden under the turkey. They are also not shy with a roast potato guys, not shy at all, which is what we like.
We had the turkey (obviously) and also the vegetarian option, which was thyme-roasted plum tomato tart. As you can see from the pictures, the yorkshire puddings were so big. Actually the biggest that we have ever had in a roast dinner in Eastbourne. HUGE!
The roast potatoes were the BEST roast potatoes that we have tasted. They were so tasty and perfectly roasted potatoes. In fact these were the kind of roast potatoes that everyone strives to get from a Sunday roast, but so many don’t quite get there. We can also say this for their parsnips. Absolutely delicious and like no other parsnip that we have ever had.
You also get your own personal gravy, which was lovely to have. That way you can have as much as you want and no need to share. Also we didn’t have to ask for extra gravy, so it was definitely enough.
The cauliflower cheese was great and as it was a side order, it was a really big portion, which we actually couldn’t finish, but was a great sharing size.
The vegetarian option, was also just as huge as everything else. The thyme-roasted plum tomato tart consisted of a basil and paprika pastry case filled with a tomato and bramley apple compote, topped with roasted red peppers and feta. It was full of flavour and a great veggie option for a roast dinner and it still came with all the roast dinner trimmings that were available with the turkey roast dinner.
We have to give this roast dinner a strong 10/10. So impressed with it. Everything from the stuffing to the potatoes was just fabulous.
