It’s 10pm And You’re Standing In Front Of The Fridge, You’re Having An Internal Argument

It’s 10pm and you’re standing in front of the fridge, you’re having an internal argument.

This is what it might sound like in your head:

“mmm that cheesecake looks amazing, I’ve had such a long, hard day, it will make me feel good”
“Come on, you don’t need this. Close the door and get out of the kitchen”
“I deserve a treat, just a little treat”
“You’re already overweight and you will feel sick in the morning if you eat that”
You grab the cheesecake, wolf it down and then feel guilty for eating it.
Sound familiar?

We all have versions of this experience. Faced with choices throughout our day, we can literally hear different voices within us with very different goals, urging us on and trying to help in their own way.

This is the crux of Internal Family Systems therapy and will form the basis of our one day workshop.
To support you to understand your different parts in relation to food, the protective role they are serving in your system and how to support yourself to heal, creating an opening for freedom and choice with regards to your relationship with food.
