11 Movies We Can’t Wait To Watch This Year

11 movies we can’t wait to watch this year

Glass
This is a follow on from Unbreakable and then Spilt. We think you should watch these 2 movies before you go and see Glass as it will make a little bit more sense. A lot of this movie follows on from these two and from what we can see it all gets pulled in together.
Release date – January 18th

The Avengers: End Game

We have no words to explain exactly how excited we are for this movie – if this was the only movie to be released in 2019 we would be happy. It follows on from The Avengers Infinity War, released last year. We’re hoping End Game clears up a whole lotta questions and that The Avengers save the day! Will Captain America survive? Will Iron Man come back from space? Will everyone who died come back? Who knows.
Release date – 26th April

The Lion King

Disney are bringing out all of the nostalgic movies this year and we will start with The Lion King. The cast is amazing with the likes of Queen B playing Nala. The only problem is – we still cry every time we see this movie and doing that in public at the cinema might be a tab embarrassing.

Pet Sematary

If the trailer is anything to go by this is going to be super scary. It’s based on the Stephen King novel and that was dubbed his scariest one yet. We’re not 100% we can watch this in a dark cinema and we’re also not too sure we’ll look at our pets in the same way again.
Release Date – 5th April

Captain Marvel

We’re all for girl power and we can’t wait to see the first instalment of Captain Marvel. We’re not too sure whats going to happen, but we don’t even care. Go Marvel!
Release Date – 8th March

Dumbo

We can’t wait for Dumbo. This is another movie that will just make us cry all the way through. We hope that they’ve done it justice and we’re sure that the they have as the cast is pretty awesome with the likes of Colin Farrell, Danny De Vito and Michael Keaton gracing the big screen.
Release Date – 29th March

X-Men: The New Mutants

We had no idea that the X-Men had another movie in them, but we’re not complaining that they do. This one is meant to be a little bit darker than the previous. This time round the new mutants are held in a secret facility against their will.
Release Date – 2nd August

Aladdin

The teaser trailer didn’t give much away, but it doesn’t need to, we already know what will happen. We still can’t wait to see it though! We also think that Will Smith will be brilliant as the genie.
Release Date – 24th May

The Secret Life of Pets 2
Any pet lovers who saw the first Secret Life of Pets, will be happy to know there will be a second instalment of what your pets get up to when you’re not around.
Release Date – 7th June

Star Wars Episode IX

After finally getting over the fact that there was no Star Wars last December, we just can’t wait to see what they have in store for this December. We’ve really been enjoying all the new movies that Disney have been releasing and we hope that it continues.
Release Date – 20th December

IT: Chapter 2

We think we need to discuss this one as it was such a big hit at the cinema, so much so they are bringing out a second one. We didn’t go to see the first one at the cinema because we were far too scared. However we have seen it and it wasn’t as bad as we expected. If you have seen the original movie you will know exactly what to expect from Chapter 2 – 27 years later ……
Release date – 6th September
